Why choose Pre-Kindy at Scotch

Bush School

Whole-body experiences, especially those in natural environments, open up our senses and cognitive function in ways that learning indoors cannot achieve.

We utilise our proximity to Lake Claremont to provide a genuine outdoor experience for our kindy students. Our nature play programme includes our Bush School and Bush Art program.

Student-centred learning

We combine the globally recognised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, with the student-centred Reggio Emilia approach.

Our Pre-Kindergarten teachers create opportunities for each child to explore their passions and interests. By observing each child's play and listening to their questions we can create a student centred experience where each child develops the foundations for pre-literacy and pre-numeracy, while uncovering the world around them.

We teach music, every day

Music education is essential in developing flexible, focused and skilled minds, and it starts with our youngest students in Pre-Kindergarten.

Our Music Every Day programme recognises the fascinating links between music, memory and the brain, and is delivered by our specialist teachers.

Language learning

As an International Baccalaureate school, we nurture pre-kindy students in Perth with a global outlook.

This begins in Pre-Kindergarten when the brain is very receptive to learning languages with our students learning French.

Tailored support

We regularly assess your child's skills in a range of areas to help us tailor their learning programme.

All children are also screened by our Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, so we can identify early any underlying issues that may need attention.

Flexi-day programmes

Our Pre-Kindergarten programmes are very flexible. You choose the days your child attends our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programmes.* You can choose two, three, four or five days for your child to attend.**

While we always do our best to accommodate families' preferences as much as possible, please note that all enrolments are dependent upon class availability.
