Scotch boys raise thousands for WaterAid Australia
In Term 3 the Year 7s studied Water - the science behind water, the importance of water, its scarcity in some parts of the world and how to improve water accessibility in poor communities.
iLearn and Maths were blended when they participated in a Walkathon, which involved a walk around the rugby oval on a Friday afternoon to raise money for WaterAid Australia.
Water Aid is an organisation dedicated to transforming lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene. By helping to establish safe water supplies and toilets, Water Aid helps people to escape the poverty trap and have happier and healthier lives.
Over 70 boys collected money for this great cause and last Friday, Scotch presented WaterAid Australia with a total of $4,758.95.
A wonderful effort - congratulations Year 7s!
