Bush School

We take full advantage of our Early Learning Centre's unique position adjoining Perth's beautiful Lake Claremont. It is abundant with the unique flora of Western Australia. This allows us to offer an authentic nature play programme, including Bush School and Bush Art.

When we take learning outside the classroom, the benefits are countless. By encouraging investigation and play-based learning, we allow our students to tap into their imagination and unlock their senses in their physical environment.

Student-centred teaching

We merge the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, a globally recognised curriculum, with the student-centred, experiential principles of the Reggio Emilia approach.

Our Early Learning Centre teachers observe each child's play, listen to their questions and discover what interests them. Then, teachers can create opportunities to explore students' passions. Every child develops the foundations for pre-literacy and pre-numeracy, fuelling their love of learning.

Music making

Studies show that daily music-making is a powerful tool for brain development in young people. Aside from the profound learning opportunities it offers, playing music helps little ones improve cognitive function and better understand their emotions.

We are proud to offer our Sing to Learn programme in our Early Learning Centre. Our specialist music staff teach all students to play instruments and sing together, recognising that the process is the most important part.

An attentive approach

We regularly assess your child's skills in a range of areas to help us tailor their learning programme.

All children are also screened by our Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, so we can identify any underlying issues that may need attention early.

Flexi-day programmes

Thanks to our flexible early learning programmes, you can choose which days of the week your child attends our Early Learning Centre.

While we always attempt to accommodate families' preferences as much as possible, please note that all enrolments are dependent upon class availability.

What age can my child start?

Your child must be the following age to begin our Early Learning Centre programmes:  

• Pre-Kindergarten : 3 years old  
• Kindergarten : 4 years old or turning 4 before 30 June of that year  
• Pre-Primary : 5 years old or turning 5 before 30 June of that year  

Enrolment information and fees

As a private early learning centre, we're very flexible to accommodate the needs of each family. You choose the days your child attends the ELC. Pre-Kindergarten students must attend a minimum of two days, while Kindergarten students must attend a minimum of three days a week.

Classes at our Pre-Primary school fill quickly, so be sure to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
