Why choose our private kindy in Perth

Bush School

Whole-body experiences, especially in natural environments, open up the senses and improve cognitive function in ways that learning indoors cannot replicate.

We take full advantage of our private school grounds and their unique position adjoining Perth’s idyllic Lake Claremont. Our Kindergarten offers an authentic nature play programme outside the classroom, including Bush School and Bush Art.

Student-centred learning

We combine the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, a globally recognised curriculum, with the Reggio Emilia approach to education. This emphasises student-centred, hands-on learning.

With the guidance of our Kindergarten teachers, each child develops the foundations for pre-literacy and pre-numeracy, while discovering the world around them. We explore their passions, encourage curiosity and uncover their interests.

Music Every Day

Music education plays an essential role in developing flexible, focused and skilled minds. At Scotch College, this starts with our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.

During kindy, children discover the fascinating links between music, memory and the brain with our Music Every Day programme.

Language learning

Scotch College is an International Baccalaureate school, where we nurture students with a global outlook. This begins when the brain is very receptive to learning languages. At kindy, our students get to learn French.

As a private kindergarten in Perth, we are able to tailor your child's learning programme. With regular assessments of their learning, children develop skills in a wide range of areas.

All children are also screened by our Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, so any underlying issues that may need attention can be identified early.
